A silent science-fiction reel by Allan Parker: a machine opening archival footage until it gets cut off. He keeps the picture, I wrote the sound — a voice for every element built to have one.
I like composing, among many other things: real-time DSP, hardware, generative systems that never repeat, and researching new ways for sound to exist.
Karl Lengfeld is my codename. I'm Carlos Roldán: 15+ years of sound design and score, most of them behind the scenes, on other people's work.
Everything comes out under my own name now, down to the tools when a project needs it.
